I am a Berlin-based geospatial analyst and journalist using geospatial & open-source information to investigate security and environmental issues.

I’m currently available for full-time work opportunities in Berlin, or remote.

Originally from Australia, I have lived in both China and the EU, and am now based in Berlin, Germany.

I have also recently completed a Master of International Affairs at the Hertie School of Governance, focussing on security and sustainability.

Over the last seven years, I have worked as a journalist and geospatial analyst focusing on war, humanitarian crises and climate change. I have also been heavily involved in using Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and remote sensing data to further my investigations into these topics.

Geospatial Analysis

I have extensive experience in using geospatial and remote sensing data to investigate and make sense of a wide-range of real-world problems, in the domains of security, environmental management and industrial monitoring.

Open Source Intelligence

Conflict Journalism

I have been working with a group of skilled journalists and researchers to use open source information such as satellite imagery to analyse crises around the world, and have contributed to multiple in-depth investigations.

Through my work as a freelance conflict journalist I have worked in multiple war zones around the world, and written compelling stories for publications such as the New York Times and Newsweek.

Currently I am researching about the impact of climate change on society, and possibly ways in which crises can be predicted and mitigated.

My overall goal is to find ways to analyse open source data and use mathmatical modelling to increase the overall resiliance of societies, in the face of escalating global political, technological and climatic instability.
